Hey guys, I found this place earlier today when I was looking for a metric conversion For Heico PermaWash. I'm totally stoked to find a forum just for analog photography! it's so hard these days to find people who are as interested in non-digital processes as I am.

I'm a student at LSU getting a minor in Photoraphy. I've also set up my own darkroom at home and work in a Photography studio on campus. It's all digital, so whenever we get black and white work, I get paid to go home and print!

Anyway, I'll be bugging you guys soon.

Trey... Welcome to APUG from western Massachusetts! It's a great place to meet other analog photo people.

Welcome! And check out the Sam Portera/featured member link - he's from somewhere near your neck of the woods.

Wow, thanks for the fast replies... I think I'm going to like this place!

One question though. I just went through some of my files and found some scans I had made from some Gelatin Silver prints and I was going to make a quick website to post them here, but can I post links to nudes? Three of the scans I have are nudes, and I didn't want to rub any mods the wrong way. Nudes, not teh pr0nz.

Anyway, here's a link to some recent digital stuff I did.

Welcome from New Hampshire Trey. I miss the food around Baton Rouge, finding even remotely authentic Cajun food around here is pretty much impossible.
Yes, you can post links to nudes, if you become a subsriber you can post to (and view) the gallery here.
If you want to rub nudes, or the mods, it's between you and them.

Welcome Trey! You certainly have tapped into an excellent source of info here. Have a beer at the Chimes for me and Geaux Tigers!!!

Welcome to APUG, Trey! I have to say that I quite like the bridge detail shot!

Ok, I threw some scans up online (NSFW) here (NSFW). Forgive the lousy quality.

@ geauxpez, hehe, I live on Chimes street within view of the Chimes. I'm not sure how long it's been since you were here, but I live above Hair visions (formerly My Tiger Lilly) in the middle of all the bars. I wish The Chimes were open tonight, I'm bored.

@ BWGirl, thanks!

This place seems pretty cool.

Hi. It's great to have you. We film lovers are more numerous than
many people realize.

My folks are in the BR area, so I was in for Thanksgiving. In fact, I watched the LSU-AR game at the Chimes -- my name is on the plaque for "Beers Around the World" if they still do that. That was from my first semester of grad school. I graduated & left the state in 2002. My apartment was on Ivanhoe St (off Carlotta behind the Chimes), so either the Chimes or Chelsea's was on my way home depending on which way I walked. Check out the Ivanhoe St. Music Festival in the spring if they're still doing it. Ahhhh....sweet memories of debauchery.

Yes one day it will be like the end of the film "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"

The last digi alive who thinks he can trust his remaining digi friend meets him and they take a picture together. He's very tired because he knows he can't allow himself to fall asleep. They compare pictures in the traditional way by showing each other the vdu screens on the back of the cameras. Only his friend's camera to his ultimate horror doesn't have a screen on the back and the friend makes that strange non human sound like Donald Sutherland.

The film fades to strange creatures in darkness populating factories called Ilford and Kodak with long continuous lines of what is clearly film rolling from the machines.

One creature in the Ilford factory has even managed to imitate a "Geordie" accent to blend into the human digital race and is organising tours.

There's no escape.:D

No, Ivanhoe Music Festival had the kabosh put on it the year of Katrina. Bummer. I've lived in the Chimes/Ivanhoe/Carlotta/State streets neighborhood for years... I'm wondering if we may have met.

Quite possibly. I was on Ivanhoe across from the pink house in a brick duplex that is rightfully a bit secluded (behind the 2-story white building where Micayla lived) -- the address was 3245. I was there from fall 1999 to summer of 2002. Dan Gonzalez, the nutty English professer was my neighbor in the duplex. Scott Whiddon (another English guy and a musician) was across the yard from my place in the building that Steve Struck bought (I assume that Steve will ALWAYS be there).

I know Scott and Steve... not sure about Dan. And I know that building; several of my friends have lived in it. Had the one on the left been dubbed the "Taint Mansion" yet when you lived there?

I'm really going to miss that neighborhood when I move away.
