Hi. I'm a retired engineer with interest in vintage lenses and general photography.
My main film camera is/was the Olympus OM4t. I also have two Nikon film scanners that still work, which I have also needed to repair.
I now have many adapters for Sony A7Rx cameras and vintage lenses. I also have a few Oscilloscope lenses.
I like the other world view from macro lenses and the closeup perspective. Helicon Focus has been a great tool.

Welcome aboard, Wayne!
I love what you're doing with textures. Going through your Flickr is like being sucked into an acid trip - awesome!

Agreed!
You can see what you're seeing, which is unusual. Most of us have unconsciously trained ourselves to ignore most of what we see.

Welcome to Photrio. A background in electrical engineering and electronic devices will be invaluable for tuning and adjusting cameras and working on circuit boards and replacing capacitors and resistors.
