Grew up in a small central Illinois town near the Indiana border. Lived in the Chicago NW suburbs for 30+ years. Career was with Sears/Advantis, IBM, AT&T. Am now out in California and loving it, but missing a lot of the old Illinois stomping grounds. Shot 110 in college, then graduated to a Pentax ME Super. Traded in for digital and have shot several Canon digitals for many years. Just getting back into film. I AM an analog man in a digital age. Have a collection of stereo equipment. I'd like to say I restore old Dual turntables, but with inheriting her mom's furniture and storing many other of life's JUNK, I can't get to them anymore! Have a large collection of vinyl albums from the 60's 70's, too!
Just acquired a Zenza Bronica S2 (with extras) that popped up. Had to do it! Lol. Don't tell my wife! Good to know film and processing is still out there, but WOW! I guess lack of supply and lack of demand has gotten to the film market. Want to make a black and white legacy for wife, kids, and grandkids. We'll mix some color in there, too. I like getting out into California nature.... Point Reyes National Sea Shore, Yosemite, camping and fishing in the sierra, wine country. Can't wait to start shooting the Bronica, re-learning curve notwithstanding.
