my dad in 1970 bought this kit & built it for my darkroom
I still have it but the darkroom is gone
he's been gone since 2016
made it to 94

Nice thing about Heathkits is that if you have the manual (and most of them are on the web, somewhere) you can keep them going forever.

I got one of those in a lot with other stuff. I naively plugged it in to try it out. It immediately started to smoke. I opened it up (after unplugging it and it had cooled down) and saw numerous components and wires were scorched black.

I think mine was a dud.
