I cut my own stereo (3d) mounts, and I would like to use heat seal cardstock. The problem is that I don't know where to get cardstock coated with heat seal adhesive. I've been trying to contact Pic Photogtaphic who makes 35mm heat seal mounts, but I've called half a dozen times and I always get the busy tone. Does anyone know the contact information of any current manufacturers of 35mm heat seal slide mounts?

Pic Mounts are the only brand I see advertised. and then only by one or two dealers.

Interesting, I do not think such mounts were ever available to consumers over here.

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/106956-REG/Pic_RM10_35mm_Heat_Seal_Cardboard.html needless to say I have purchased a 30 year supply,

I always understood that in Europe, the trend was to use plastic mounts. with the end users often doing their own mounting in two piece mounts,. here in North America up until recently most photo-finishers would use the Pakon Plastic mounts but those seem to have disappeared. Kodak always used cardboard.

I have a sealy brand gismo to seal the cardboard mounts.

Oh and AGX, Kodak sold boxes of 100 Grey cardboard mounts as "Kodak ready mounts" and a 50 unit box of "pre sealed" mounts which had a slot left at one edge to insert the film. This was done by having a piece of non-stick paper in the mount, you could pull it out and slide in teh film, then seal the edge with a household clothing iron set at low.

Thanks all for the replies. I still haven't gotten through to Pic.

Have you tried Rocky Mountain Memories?

Their prices seem pretty good...

Yes, I know the former owner, but unfortunately RMM are no longer in business. Thanks for looking into it though!

why not add a layer of dry mount tissue
Great idea! The thought had crossed my mind, but I never followed through. Is dry mount tissue safe for the dyes in colour films? Thanks so much for the offer, I'll send you a PM.

I don't know why not, as it is safe for the dyes in colour prints.
