Greetings,

I've successfully developed films with HC-110 dilution H before, but I've always developed just a couple of films at a time. Now I have a total of seventeen 120 films to develop, and my tank can take four of those at a time. The liquid capacity of the tank is roughly 1,8 litres when loaded with films. This would mean 28,125 millilitres of HC-110.

Now, the question is, how many rolls I can develop with the same dilution without replenishing as I don't have replenisher available? Looking at Kodak documentation for HC-110, they state a certain amount of sheet films that you can process before replenishing, but I couldn't find information for 120 films.

Presuming we're talking syrup, the minimum required amount per roll is 6ml. For 4 rolls that would be 24ml, so your 1.8 liters of working solution is sufficient to develop four rolls and no more. You should dump it afterwards.

In the specs, in terms of minimum solution required, remember that 1 roll of 35mm is equivalent to 1 roll of 120, 1 sheet of 8x10 or 4 sheets of 4x5.

The capacity recommendations are found at page 7 of J-24: http://www.kodak.com/global/en/professional/support/techPubs/j24/j24.pdf

The tank recommendation is adjacent to the tray recommendation - remember tat one 120 roll is equivalent to one 135-36 roll which is equivalent to one 8"x10" sheet.

The capacity for dilution H is one-half of the dilution B capacity - 2.5 rolls per litre of dilution H working solution.

Which extrapolates back to one roll per 6 ml of syrup.

As bvy has already said.
