Back with an update. I did a clip test and ended up developing the film in HC-110, dilution A, at 50F for 5:30. Only one picture came out. My friend who gave me the film recognizes the lady as his aunt and godmother.

Thanks. To say that the family was surprised with this would be an understatement. My friend thinks that's his father looming in the window. They date it early to mid 1960's.

As for the rest of the roll, there were two or three indoor shots, completely underexposed, in which only a distant window is visible. The rest of the roll appears to be unexposed.

This has been a very interesting read.
My first 3 rolls of ancient film found in old cameras developed pretty well. The last 4 rolls have been a complete bust for me. Just dense black film with either no or (rarely) very slight images.
I will have to try the OPs method the next time I am lucky enough to get a camera with old film in it
