I'd like to add - KEH quickly sent me a lens that works perfectly, but the cosmetic condition is HORRIBLE, especially compared to the defective one that I sent back. The defective unit looked nearly new, with some scuffs, BGN condition, I was pleased. This replacement looks like its been to hell and back, lots of paint rubbing off mostly, not a ton of actual scratches. The shutter seems accurate and the glass looks good.

Would you make a fuss about this? I don't really mind the condition this way, but it is kind of a bummer that the last one looked much better, but advertised as the same condition. Unless they sent me an UGLY condition because it was what they had on hand.

Post a pic. Maybe that will help folks help you. By the sounds of it, though, KEH made things right. Good for both you and them.

Its really not as bad on its own, I wish I had pics of the last lens, it was nearly mint, as I said. This really isn't a bother, but I can't help but wonder why they would send something so different, and without explanation.

That's not bad; it's not been abused. Rather, it's got the character of a life well lived. A well used functional lens. The mint lens you had before was probably rarely used and that's why it failed.

I like the way you're thinking! I'll be out shooting expired Ektachrome in the snowy weather! And might I add, the 150 is damn sharp!

I picked up a 250mm Sonnar f5.6 "C" which makes wonderful images.
The self timer was go and stop. All you do is lift the setting tab and "help" the self timer by pushing the main tab toward the "M" and it will time out. If you are lucky, after doing this a few times it will work on its own. Mine times perfectly at 8 1/2 seconds firing the shutter no problem every time now. Make sure you flip the lever on the shutter to keep the back doors open to expose the film properly.

welcome to APUG

The best advise for Hasselblad self timers is not to use them.

I dunno but imo, that is NOT horrible. from the photos, looks like maybe a 7 or 7.5. Horrible would be 3 or 4
