Hassey problem – Please help

yeah---the file is not a reversible thing.....did you try rotating the bayonet back and forth to see if there's any play in it...rotational play---???? that's all I can think of--maybe it's somehow loose---them bayonets are strong, so if there's no damage there, then..yeah...it can't just change it's size without something pushing on it....

diabolical....when the repair guy blows it with a dust gun and it clicks in we'll all slap your heads and say.."of course".....

cliveh, you do not list where you live. If you could post that, we might be able to direct you to a close by repairman or at least another Hasselblad owner who would advise you.

My experience tells me that you should not make this a DIY project but send it out for a repair before you turn it into a much more expensive repair. It is not worth screwing up a 120mm lens to save a few bucks.

I agree and this is a beautiful lens, which I don't wish to damage and will therefore now seek expert repair.
