Perhaps they are moving to be closer to Sirius Glass :whistling:.
(I know, I should have resisted the temptation).

NJ was an obvious choice back then. Near NYC, probably the biggest concentration of commercial photo studios in the US and on the East coast, a tad closer to the mothership in Sweden. But now, with Chinese ownership they might have wanted to be closer to the Pacific and a little closer to DJI headquarters in the US. Apparently, not all the technicians are making the move, so maybe there is a bigger pool of prospective employees with electronics and camera experience in CA. Burbank is home to a lot of motion picture support companies.

It is a good move. They wanted me to bring the cameras and lenses directly to them, rather than make me wait for the shipping back and forth.

Closeness is good. When I first started dating my girlfriend I asked her, "If I told you that I liked your body, would you hold it against me?"

I am sorry to hear you need service, but at least this will make it easier to obtain.

I do not need the service, but it is reassuring to know that if and when I do it is close by.

I thought of that too. But I don't think they service film cameras anymore.

Based on what data? Hasselblad in NJ repaired my 501CM and cleaned a lens in 2021.

I am not worried. My local Hasselblad repairman has a stock of spare parts. Besides I have rarely needed parts, just adjustments when something has to be done.

They just told me that their 200 series technician retired last year, so they would not handle them any more

Over a decade ago my Hasselblad repairman at Samy's advised against buying a 200 or 2000 series Hasselblad.

Posts about politics removed
You'd think, after the last few months/years of US politics, that you'd be tired of politics!

This is fantastic news! They still service film cameras like my H1, and mine needs the AF checked. I was dragging my feet about shipping it to NY, as the freakin thing is so heavy etc. But I can just go drop it off now!

Thanks Pieter for posting!
