I use B60 filters without a problem. Why do you feel compelled to use only threaded filters?

my swc has a c lens not a cf so it does not have a bayonet, just a 67mm thread that has a different screw than those from regular filters and step ups...

a step up from this thread to bay 60 or to 67mm or to 72mm would be nice, as some filters are nice to have and use!

Thanks

Well that explains it. I have a 903 SWC which has a CF lens, so I cannot help you.

Nothing wrong with Serie VIII i just don´t have them!! and buying polarizer + 2-3 ND´s + Color corrections + BW´s cost me a little fortune... and i have them all in screw mount already (77mm)...

There is a hood for swc made in china that has a threaded front but is 86mm!! but that´s even worse regarding filter price!!!

Thanks!!!!

I searched for some time before 1) figuring out the filter system of the C lens SWC and 2) finding the right filters and adapter ring. I had to send a few filters back to their sellers in the process. Beware, most sellers don't have a clue and advertise "filters for SWC", which is often not the case. What you need is the following:
- a 63 mm unthreaded filter,
- a retaining ring.

I am not aware of any adapter for the old C-style SWC lenses. I don't think one ever exists, unfortunately. Due to this I limited myself to a clear protection filter (my SWC goes pretty much everywhere with me, and I am a bit paranoid), and an orange filter.

Frank, that's interesting. Do you just screw a 67mm filter onto the SWC lens where the retainer ring generally goes?
Yes, I have an older swc, non T*. When I first got it, I tried the 67mm filter I used on my 50mm distagon and it worked. Because I had a serie viii retaining ring lying around, I'm using that now, but I checked this morning and the 67mm fits, although I have to say, that the retaining ring screws in easier.
Regards,
Frank

Seems that a step up should be a easy thing to do!!!! but i really never saw one! the 67-72 or 67-77 or 67-82 adapters that i have just screw a little bit... i don´t even know if they vignette...
