For sale is my Hasselblad 120mm f/4 Makro-Planar CF lens. This is a very sought-after lens that is a fantastic length for portraits or close landscapes and which also focuses close enough to let you get very intimate with your subject without needing to resort to extension tubes. It is optically flawless, and the only thing that is not functionally perfect about this is that the EV scale interlock button doesnÂ’t work. This is not an uncommon problem but since it doesn't affect the use of the lens I never bothered to have it corrected. The Makro-Planar also shows a bit in the way of handling marks at the bayonets from mounting but in other respects it is in excellent condition. It includes both caps and an aftermarket hood. It comes in a LowePro lens case that I have labeled with the focal length. The case has a mesh pocket under the lid into which I have always placed a re-chargeable desiccant canister to prevent condensation and ward off other evil spirits that can damage lens optics and mechanics. The desiccant canister is included and I recommend that you re-charge it whenever the orange color fades from the beads, following the instructions embossed on the tins. I hope this is a clue as to how carefully I have taken care of all of my gear.

Price is $650 shipped/insured including pp fees. If you are paying with Paypal or bank balance as a personal payment, then call it $630. Thanks!

Linked EV scale in Hasselblad Compur and Prontor shutters

Many professional-owned Hasselblad lenses had the EV scale link disabled for use with studio electronic flash, where the aperture is adjusted independently of the shutter. I had my 80mm and 150mm Compur lenses modified the last time they were serviced. The 50mm Prontor lens was never linked and I think this is typical of all Prontor shutters.

Thanks...that's very interesting. And a useful practice. That may be the case here; I don't have enough info to say as it was like that when I bought it. However the truth is that I have never once been inclined to use the EV link on any Hassy lens and I doubt it is a feature that is much used. And as you say if you are using strobe (which is part of the appeal of this leaf shuttered system) then it is out of the question.
