I have a c12 (i think) Hasselblad film back with what looks like 3 metal blades for trap seals. I think they are original and they seam to work fine (no light leaks). Just wondering about replacements down the road. All I have been able to find are the foam/milar one. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

Those are original, yes (are there not 4?)

Nothing to replace them with, except something you can concoct yourself.

But myself, i wouldn't. Backs are cheap(ish), and i'd rather get another one and keep this one in as original a state as i could.

I was just curious as i had never seen that type. It is actually working fine with no issues. It looks like a much better design to me, still working 54 years later (date code is ct I think). Thanks for the help.

Any advice as to where to buy Hasselblad light seals?

Ed,
IMHO... skip the cheap knock off "Flea-Bay" ones, but you could try searching Flea-Bay for the real sets, some dealers do sell them... best bet... contact Hasselblad USA, there is one here in New Jersey

Hasselblad USA – Camera service center
Nationwide
333 New Road, Suite no. 5
Parsippany, NJ 07054
1-973-227-7320

Ask for the parts dept.

(PS, just sent you a PM too)
Stay well
