Hasselblad: How complete is your camera?

Congratulations! I've always been leery of motorized Hasselblads due to potential battery issues. That one recently caught my eye and is interesting in that it uses AA batteries. Can't wait to hear your experiences.

Over the years I've tried a number of straps for my 500C/M. The best by far - for me - is the OP/TECH Super Pro.

The problem with the wide OEM strap (mine is from 1985) is that the rubberized part is failing, leaving loads of debris. I wont bring the blad near it. The slim strap hurts my shoulder in short time. So I have adapted a Peak Design wide strap and it is quite satisfactory.

Yes the slim one is not really useful. The wide rubberized one is a bit too rubberized for my liking, on my shoulders it almost feels "glued on".

I am fighting my OCD and am trying to restrain myself not to by the 553ELX's silver outer cardboard box.

My 555ELD is fairly original. I have added a Carl Zeiss strap which I find more comfortable than the original Hasselblad-straps. Although I like my cameras to be "authentic", with all parts being the same vintage/style, I do not think this actually matters. Hasselblad is a system camera for a reason. You can use 50 year old magazines, viewfinders and lenses with the latest bodies. Or upgrade older cameras with new screens and such.

To complete my 500C/M set bought in 1981, I followed the 1981 product catalogue that came with it, and I still do.
Nearly all of the lenses, the SWC/M and accessories are from that area, except for a few A12's.

Oh, I always use these narrow leather neck straps as I use them to wrap around my wrist while taking pictures.

Anyone try to modify their narrow strap with a simple lining of a bicycle inner tube, smooth or roughed up a bit, with abrasive sheet material?

For my 2000fcw I had about everything including original B50 F-lens, winder, prism and many smaller parts. But I had no paperwork so its hard for me to pick an option.

A photograph will have to wait, as even though I have the strap, new bicycle inter-tubes, and pliobond 25, I'm inable to access my workshop this week.

My original question was a question for others, as to if they had themselves tried this potential modification, however, when able, I'm willing to try it myself.
