Hasselblad ELX . . . Today is the day . . .

I recently acquired a Hasselblad ELX with 220 back and T* 150mm lens in an auction lot. The camera body dates to 1985 and the batteries in the camera expired in 1990 . . . This camera did not get much use, in fact it appears unused and brand new. The tripod base-plate has no scratches, everything is perfect. I did not get the charger with it so I could not test the camera. I ordered two 9 volt battery adapters for it and they are arriving today. . . so wish me luck!

One of the most pleasurable cameras to use ever made, in my opinion.
Great on a tripod, but also surprisingly good handheld.

I received the battery conversion a few hours ago . . . The camera and the 150mm lens work flawlessly! The 5.6/60mm lens now works flawlessly as well. The shutter was a bit sticky on the longer speeds but after some exercising of the shutter this lens also now functions flawlessly! Now I gotta get out and take some pics!!

Congratulations. This is a fine camera, fast and straightforward in operation. You may consider changing the big release against the smaller one. People often say the big one is better with gloves, but apart from that, the smaller one is more comfortable to use. Depends on you...

You just have to pull it out. This way you can also attach a Hasselblad cable release. However, Hasselblad also sold another style of cable release that was made to fit the five-pin socket on the side. I find that more convenient since you do not have to pull out the release every time you want to use it.
