"It's not what you think it is"

That clears the matter up.

LOL.....since more people "think" it's colour film than any other product....is he saying it's not colour film? Or it's not the obvious 200/400ISO colour film? Becuase if it's a 1600ISO colour film then I am all over it even at £20 a pop. But I'd think that's a niche within a niche within a niche thing. So probably not.

He does seem to think it's worth the excitement and it's not a Harman branded alarm clock or bluetooth speaker. Which is something, at least.

I'm looking forward to receiving my Harman pillowcase and duvet cover in time for Christmas. And my cats want Harman branded cat treats. They're fed up at not being able to eat film.

Looks like another Vision3 250D product with no remjet applied. Basically Cinestill 400D.

I think this one might be with remjet still on, otherwise is see no sense in "Process ECN-2 ONLY" text on the cassette. And the base does look very dark.

Maybe it is color reversal instead of color negative.

Also interesting, but not particularly surprising, his disgust with Fujifilm. I think many of us are disappointed at how a company with such a rich history in film and so much manufacturing capability has largely abandoned film (of the non-instant type). I just hope they at least continue their current color reversal films. But it would be nice to see them expand their film production again. I think I recall someone significant at Fujifilm saying not so many years ago that they would never abandon film, that they would be the last one making film. We will see.

I can sort of understand. Fuji have never been very forthcoming in sharing their plans w.r.t. discontinuation of film products with the world, let alone longer perspectives. Especially that part of Fuji, which is located in Japan, doesn't seem to open up very readily to the West. Maybe they're in touch more with the domestic Japanese market; this wouldn't surprise me in the least.

At the same time, there's still the various FUJIFILM E6 products (surprisingly!), color chemistry and of course RA4 paper. I find it rather sad that in his Fuji bashing rage, he doesn't seem to realize that for us analog color printers, Fuji is the life raft that actually keeps us afloat.

Yes, this is very true. Even with their significantly reduced range of film photography products, Fujifilm does continue to provide some of the essentials. And this should be appreciated.

I mentioned earlier that Pentax said they have been discussing with the major film manufacturers the current state and future of film production as they research possibly making new film cameras, and that I would be very curious what has been said in these discussions, particularly with Fujifilm. Perhaps Pentax is able to learn more from Fujifilm than is commonly known.

Based on a bright orange background and silhouette of a 35mm cassette, JCH can say that it's not what you think it is, however, if it's not a all new color negative film then they need to fire the advertising agency

Now is the time, prices are high, Harman could be a supplier to Fujifilm and others.

Oh Boy this is going to be great!!

I think it’s personal for him. He has strongly implied (without actually saying) that Fuji sent him a cease and desist for his planned Fugu film E6 film, which is part of why it’s delayed/cancelled.

I haven't followed this story. I only recently learned of this. But it does seem that the name was quite a poor choice. It could even be pronounced to sound almost like Fujifilm.

"Who burns his ass has to sit on blisters" as we say in Dutch. Even with my almost non existent knowledge about Japanese law, I can say it's not a smart choice to use this name. Grow some balls
and don't cry afterwards...

The mixture of metaphors in this post makes me cringe - and that has nothing to do with my "moderator's" take on this thread!
