I'm guessing there was another manufacturing screw-up, so we're going to be getting a "NEW" limited edition Redscale film. Yippee!! 🙂

Just curious, how well would Red work in 120 with the emulsion side scraping along the pressure plate? I've never used a "red" film, so I'm genuinely curious.

Saw this last night and it's got me wondering. I don't think that redscale film in 120 would be all that big a deal. It's Harman rather than Ilford or Kentmere so it's related to colour film photography. I would think we're due a development in the Phoenix product, perhaps an improved version.

Maybe it's just a coincidence, but this announcement is happening on the first day of B&H BILD next week. Harman is on the exhibitor list so 🤷‍♂️

What's the betting that on the day in question 65 YouTubers, 64 of which are in California and who, have been sworn to secrecy, show us their videos on the product? 😎

It'll work fine. I tested it with Phoenix 120. Flipped the film around so that the film base was up. Made a video recently.
Here's one from the roll:

That's a shocking amount of negativity towards one of the only companies out there developing new film products.

Please. Nobody needs new film products. There are plenty of excellent films and if you really, really must have junk colour film it is trivial to do that in whatever digital editor is being used. Printing paper at a reasonable price would be nice but ain't gonna happen because Pemberstone (Harman) needs "growth".

We're in a world where Fuji has virtually stopped making film and Kodak Alaris has been bought by VC. I'm really happy we have a second/third supplier of color films (depending on if you count InovisCoat at the moment), and I've made great photographs on both Phoenix and Kentmere 200.

The unfortunate reality of shooting film is that we're directly impacted by the price of silver and that's about doubled in the last 5 years. It's no surprise that film and paper costs have risen.
