Reversal processed FP4 then reversal printed on Ilfobrom

As far as I can remember we have not discusedd such.
Only the colour path: E6 to R3 (or modified RA4)

I notice that Harman Direct Positive Paper has been on "back order" for some time, here in the US. Is this a production problem or financial issues?

I received notice from BHPhoto that 11x14 was back in stock so I think it is only a temporary condition. I just cut it to fit my other cameras.

Wow. This stuff is going fast right now. I just checked and they are already out of stock.

It must be awfully popular right now.

Yeah - have used most of my stock of 4x5 and 8x10 so just went to order some more and all gone in uk - or seems to be. Have emailed Ilford direct to ask what the situation is. My plan is to make a 12x16 pinhole camera and use DPP - hmmm...plans on hold I guess

Ilford has indicated that they are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with the Positive Direct paper and are working hard to overcome those issues. Unfortunately they have no current timeline regarding when they will be able to begin to restock the various vendors who supply the paper to us.

I guess I'll just have to continue working with the Galaxy paper until Ilford gets things sorted out.

This is their reply to my email:

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the Direct Positive paper.

We encountered some technical difficulties some time ago and have been working hard to rectify matters as quickly as possible to ensure that the product achieves the high standards of consistent performance we (and our customers) have come to expect from HARMAN.

Regarding re-supply, we are sorry but we do no have a specific date to give to you but as soon as we do have any updates, we will add them to our website.
Kind Regards,

Okay, so it appears that B&H Photo in the US is currently (as of Feb 3, 2018) selling Harman DPP. But I don't see it anywhere else that used to sell it, like Freestyle Photo. So my question for you Ilford insiders is this: Is B&H selling new old stock, or are they the (apparently) sole (or one of the few) current retailers in the US for this product? If it's the latter, then Ilford is doing a poor job marketing this product. If it's the former, I'd like an update on when new manufacturing will resume.

hi joe

freestyle will be getting it as well. ( from what i understand )
you can also get rolls if you want but they are a special order.

Having just looked, Ilfordphoto's site has it listed as 'IN STOCK' in ALL sizes = and it's been a lonnnnnnnnng time since I've seen that.

So I reckon that it's now just a matter of time before all the regular stockists stock it.

But if you are desperate and don't understand the value of money, you can always buy it here in one size... :https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/2227206811...=9045031&device=c&campaignid=974961043&crdt=0

Picked up at my local Bricks & Mortar camera shop two days ago.......

Is the 4x5 paper actual size or will it fit in 4x5 film holders without trimming?

It's a nominal size like sheet film so will fit 5x4 film holder, it's the same with other sizes.

Simon Galley told me that when it was first tested it was cut to "Paper" sizes and these wouldn't fit most film holders. John at J&C in the US made this mistake when he ordered 5x4 sheet film from one of the Chinese film manufacturers.

Reinvigorating this old thread because I just bought a pack of 4x5 and 11x14 from Freestyle yesterday! I couldn't find it easily on their site but I had to email them and they sent me a link but I'm also local and just bought it in-store. Apparently they've had it in stock for months but have been hiding in the freezer so I never knew about it.

Did some test shots (the prints fit perfectly in my 4x5 holders), one too dark, one too light, but going by this thread it looks like I can just go to print reduction and intensifying as if it were a regular fiber print https://www.photrio.com/forum/threads/lighten-dark-print.137457
