Harman Direct Positive Paper - Availability?

I am planning a new project. Does anyone have information about Harman Direct Positive Paper? Is it still in production? If so, when will some become available?

Yes, and Freestyle lists them as Out of Stock with a possible stocking date of March 23. B and H has been sending me unavailable notices every 2 weeks for months. I cannot even see any listed for sale in the UK. Just wondering if there is any word as to when suppliers will be restocked.

It was out of production for a short time and unavailable in the US while Ilford was switching distributors. The stock available on the 23rd is new production.

Thanks for your suggestion, but all I can do on the Ilford website is be directed to suppliers that do not have the product in stock. I cannot see where I can purchase it from the Ilford site.

You click the size of paper and then the pack size and then an add to basket button appears.

Not when the Harman website is viewed from the US, and probably Jim is seeing the same thing from Canada. The "shop" functions may be UK-only.

Jim, at the end of November Roberts was designated the new US distributor for Ilford, following the collapse of Wynit. Their website doesn't yet reflect that. It might be worth a phone call to them just to get the definitive word on the expected supply status of Harman Direct Positive in North America going forward.

OK. Yes it may be UK only. I actually ordered some paper direct from Ilford last week and during the checkout process it lists many countries. However this may just be a standard list and in fact they do not ship internationally. I don't know. The website is quite confusing because when you browse to a page (e.g direct positive paper) it only shows the "find a local retailer" box until the paper size box is selected and then the pack size. Only then does it show the price and the add to basket button. I suppose if you could not find what you wanted anywhere else you could ask someone in the UK to order for you and then have them ship it to you. That would be expensive though and far better to find a local supplier.

i was contacted a whle back by the good folks at imago camera. they were putting an order together for big rolls of DP paper
( that's what they use in their giant camera ) .. and learned that end of march/april
was when the paper was supposed to be in north america ( through regular retailers ).
the coating was supposed to happen sometime at the beginning of 2018/end of 2017

This is the answer Ilford Canada gave me.
Rough ETA would be May 21.
It's a special order item so they don't carry any in stock even when it's available.
It's not cheap though.

Adorama here in New York had some in stock last week. I bought a box last Sunday and the woman working there told me it was the last box of 5x7 in the store. It must have sold out pretty quickly though because it's all gone now according to their website. They're closed now for Passover but maybe after the holiday you can find out if they're getting more?
