How big of a hard case will I need for a 4x5 field camera?

Shen Hao - TZ45-iiB
3 lenses (90mm linof angelon, 135mm and 180mm)
Sekonic 758D lightmeter

Film Holders: 6x
Horseman 6x9 120 back
Fuji 4x loupe

knick knacks:
- ND grad and holders
- Coloured filter wallet
- Darkcloth
- hood
- butter fly clips and gaffer tape.
- ziplock bags

Secondary Equipment:
Box of Film + changing bag
polaroid back + 2 boxes of film

note: tripod is a Benro 297 with a Manfrotto 410 Head.
This is a rather large tripod that is carried in a sling over my shoulder.

My initial calculations suggest that the airline sizes might be enough (although very tight and will not be enough for secondary equipment. One of the sales rep suggested I 'needed' the super large lightstands and monolight sizes Pelican 1740. Which seemed really really big.

I wanted to see if anyone here had experiences with hard cases and can recommend a hardcase solution for me.

Thank you

And I can truly say with all your equipment there's no way the small 1510 will fit the 4x5 and all the stuff you have, the 1560 is a much better buy and has a lot more room (and seems to be on sale, I payed over 300 for mine).

IF you throw out ....

the horseman back...
polaroid back
extra film
tape and clips
changing bag

you might fit it in the smaller 1510 series.

but you'll also NEVER fit a tripod in either of these.

The 1510 is the biggest "airline" size before you have to pay extra for having it stored.

I would agree if you want your tripod in the mix you need a 1740 size. Which I would never buy as who needs to lug it all around like that.

That's just my take, hope that helps...

What I carry in my 1560sc is ...

Toyo45a
3 grafmatics
6 fidelity holders
cambo 6x12
4 lenses
stacked filters in a pocket in their individual cases
black jacket
sekonic meter
toyo lens shade
all the small stuff (pencil, ruler, cable release, few rolls of 120, loupe, a few desiccant packs)

That's it, that's all that fits....

Maybe two boxes of film if I want to be greedy.
