yes, the model is very brave to even swim in that water, not only depending on a support diver to let her Breathe.

the record photo was apperently taken 62 ft deep, and the model had to swim in 14C water for 30 minutes, while wearing what appears to be Lingerie

Wow...some of the pictures are beautiful, but can't really enjoy them knowing the conditions the model was in. Funny thing. By the way, the model deserves 99.9% of the credit.

Beautiful images but I'd agree, the model deserves at least as much of the credit as the photographer. Dangerous, uncomfortable work. I hope she gets the credit she deserves and didn't suffer any health problems.

yyes, I dove their a few times in what the Manufacturer called an "Arctic Wetsuit" Not the coldest water I have been in, (That would be at Les Escoumins in Quebec where the water is cold enough that it stings your face) But still a location where Hypothermia is a real risk.

can someone explain to me what "Hamilton photographer" means? its in the title, and used in the opening and closing paragraph, but I have no idea what it means and there is no explanation of the reference in the story?

Hamilton is a place name...the photographer must be from there. It is a local story so clarification was not needed for their audience.

sorry for the stupid question.
I was always told, that their are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. if it was confusing to you, it might have also confused others.

also only folks from southern Ontario would likely recognize CHCH as a local Hamilton TV station.

The only stupid question is the one that was not asked. None of us was born knowing all about photography, so if you have a question, just ask it.

It was the temperature of Hamilton at the top of the linked article that clued me in. 😎

If you are a fan of the long running Hallmark network series "Good Witch", you may be more familiar with Hamilton then you realize

Everything on Netflix etc is filmed in Canada, pristine places and friendly faces. 😀

These photos are beautiful, the model is amazing! Beautiful woman who is a brave trooper. She's a real knock out, graceful poses. I can't imagine trying to hold her breath and then pose, in frigid water.

About the same here, but more along the line of a Magnum photographer.
Of the images shown, I liked the one of her on the ship from a distance.

Halmark seems to like doing production in Canada also.

I recall that one year a dozen Hallmark Christmas movies were all done just North West of Ottawa in Almonte, the birthplace of the Dude who invented Basketball.

Vancouver has a real TV hub also

https://creativebc.com/services/provincial-film-commission/in-production/ As I am sure that Matt has seen.

Canada is a beautiful country. I've been trying to defect for years but no luck 😊

Finding a place to live may be a problem. House prices are up and we have had a housing shortage for the last 10 years. We accepted a million folks in the last year and we are wondering why we still have a housing shortage. Something wrong with the math here. Bring a trailer. You will be welcome.

The last two posts may give you a sense of the differences between the outlooks of people in Ontario and people in Ontario Alberta .
Hamilton is an interesting place.

You know, as someone who has been an immigrant for over half of my life now, I remember finding the Canadian immigration authority website so refreshing when I looked at it. After dealing with the unyielding, cold and heartless US immigration system, it was so refreshing to read something like: hey, tell us about you and what you do and let's see how we can match what we can offer to each other 😲 The only reason I didn't end up going to Canada was because I got an opportunity in France; but that welcoming approach you guys have really made a good impression on me. I plan to at least visit at some point.

Not all of us are like that. There is a political divide, but there are still people here that realize for the country to continue to grew and develop new ways and approaches, immigrants are needed.
