Halogenure, as a photography review, has chosen to specifically focus on alternative analogical photographic practices and processes.

We are proud to announce that the fifth issue is available for pre-order on KissKissBankBank at this address :
    https://www.kisskissbankbank.com/en/projects/halogenure-05

Halogenure exists without subsidies, without advertisement, without help, only thanks to the passion we put in it, thanks to the photographers who trust us, and, of course, thanks to our readers. It is because you pre-order and subscribe that we are able to keep publishing twice a year, issue after issue, those three beautiful booklets.

Let’s go on with the fifth issue, available in English for the first time.

    Pre-order
, share, let people know about the review, so that this adventure keeps going collectively.

Halogenure is a team of six people, scattered in the four corners of France and Belgium, gathered by a common editorial project and their love for photography.

Regretfully, '€50 and more' is just a little to much to pay for something 'sight unseen.'

Shame, as I would love to see more magazines etc that are film orientated.

    Welcome!

I do not speak French. Could you explain your name Halogenure?
I thought of origin, but could not verify it.
And what does alevatoire mean in the context of your magazine?

    Hi Terry,

The layout is being finished and by the end of the week we will add all the visuals on KissKissBankBank.
We are sorry and as impatient as you to show more.

In the meantime, you may be able to consult the visuals of the old issues (not translated in English) on our website
    https://halogenure.com/halogenure-03/

Note: the correct price for the issue 5 is €30, postage included, (and not "€50 and more")

    Hi AgX,

In chemistry, a halogenure ion is a negative ion (anion) formed from a chemical element of the halogen family that has gained an electron
In analogic photography, the film is made of a gelatin impregnated with microcrystals of silver halogenure, chloride or bromide.
"Halogenure" is simply a reference to photographic film, and to the silver ion.

"Aléatoire" means literally "random", but we mean it as something "open to chance encounters" and involved in photographic life.

Quite telling without words... so to say.

Maybe some of us would like to participate in showing their work. You did not hint at this so far.
Your Facebook site is blocked for non-members.
Aside of the promotion of your magazine I and likely the fellows here too would appreciate if you and your authors would mingle here too, if you are not already doing so.

    +1

And just looking at the list of all of their 5 posts, they have all been ads for their magazine...

    You are right !
Our posts may appear a bit too promotional, but our purpose is not commercial (we are all volunteers), and we make no profit from the edition of the magazine.
The money we get back is used only to print the current issue and sometimes to prepare the next one.
Our sole purpose is to promote the work of the artists we publish, in a quality magazine, printed on beautiful paper, and at a price as accessible as possible.

If I dare, I will ask you to read our statement of intent of published on our website ... ;-)

    Have a good evening

A member of the magazine is already registered on this forum, but its low level in English prevents it from participating actively!
For my part, I discovered this forum very recently.
For other members, the message has been sent !

    Hi Paul,

The price includes shipping costs for the whole world.
Unfortunately, the KKBB platform only accepts credit card payments.
