Gundlach Achromatic Meniscus Portrait Lens F/6 7.5" for 4x5 in Ilex Universal Shutter
There is no flange.
The glass is in excellent condition. Glass is clean and clear with no issues of haze, fungus or scratches. Very good vintage glass, should shoot great.
The shutter works, but only about 70% of the time reliably... It really needs a cleaning to run reliably. Bulb fires perfect. Time sometimes acts like bulb and other times works perfectly. The various shutter speeds actually sound good and reasonably accurate, but are accurate only about 70% of the time - the other times it may fire faster or slower. Using this shutter may improve the shutter, but a cleaning would be advised. Aperture and aperture blades works fine.
Pretty scarce soft focus lens. Includes rear metal lens cap to protect glass. Remember, this lens only has the rear glass group (of 2 elements) in the rear - no glass in front of the shutter.
Attached is the ad from 1925. This the # 2 version in Universal Shutter. 7.5" focal length and f/6 max aperture.
