Got my copy of Dwane's print, I agree with Kobin.
A small shop nearby has a bunch of Agfa paper, the print tells me I need to stop in there and get some.

If I quit typing and get off my butt, I'll have time to work on my prints...

Just got it today (how'd you get it here so fast?)...

Anyway, it's really a very nice print. I like how there is so much movement in some of the trees and almost none it others. I love the tones, what film did you use?

Today I came home to two prints.

First off was one from Travis who printed a gold toned lith print. I like the cool tone, it goes very well with the mood of the night scene. Add the grittiness and this is a marvelous print.

Then I receive another toned print from Jake (Black Dog). This time it's a selenium toned image of a glass pitcher. Looks like a low sun as the shadow stretches across from edge to edge. The blackness of what's behind the pitcher adds to the calm mood the image conveys. A very relaxing picture. I like this a lot. (You must PM me your address though if your want a print in return)

Thanks to the both of you. I haven't picked a negative yet.

Regards, Art.

Thanks for the compliment Art, I'm glad you like the print. It is one of my favorite shots from my Toronto visit last year. Of course, I couldn't have gotten that shot without you taking John, Dave and me downtown for the night photo outing.

Art-Thanks again! The jug originally came from Silesia (then part of Germany, now part of Poland) and travelled with my Viennese granny to England just before WW2, so it's been around a bit.

Travis-thanks for a fantastic print. Love the way the lith process makes it look both contemporary and 19th century together:smile::smile:

Hywell,

Just received your print, sent you a pm as well. Very nice, great choice of paper / toner for the subject(s). Hoping to get my prints finished this weekend, otherwise I'll be pushing against the deadline due to travel in the coming weeks.

Carl-got your print a few days back-very moody and atmospheric, reminiscent of turn of the century 'Camerwork' stuff, like Steichen and Coburn:smile::smile:.Thanks!

Jorge Orte Tudela

I received Mike's wonderful print a week ago.

I'll try to send mines this week, but the weather in Spain is very very hot these days and is hard to deal with chemicals temperature (but is great for E-6!). And the next week I'll be out of Spain, so maybe I'll have to send them by the end of august.

I just receive a great print from bdial today. It's a print of a door of an abandonded farm house, with peeling and blistering paint. On the door someone has attached a new sign that says "PRIVATE". The door itself, with the peeling paint and textures and contrasts, makes for an interesting subject, but the sign raises this image to a much higher level. I look at this print, and I wonder why would someone even bother to put this sign on this door? What's behind the door?? The sign adds a human element to the picture, and thus changes the whole tone of the print. Good seeing on your part, Barry. This is one of those images that are so easy to see, and so easy to miss. I'm glad you caught it, and that you shared this image with me. Thanks ...

bdial's print also found its way to my house today. Very nice. Like the tones and details all across the continuum.

I hope to have my prints done before next week if the photogods smile.
