There are actually several resoouces for gridding ground glass, Canham, Sinar are a couple that come to mind, ebay is always a place to look. And if you have problems your more than welcome to download the grid template from my website and just trace it onto what ever screen you buy or print on a transparency sheet and overlay your screen, which is what a great number or people do.

A pencil and a ruler on the matte side of a plain groundglass have always worked for me.

i have made a grid xeroxed it onto a piece of think plastic at the copy shop - and put it ontop of my glass - cost me pennies, and about 2 mins making the grid...

Walmart sells a ten pack of Avery overhead transparancy sheets for about $6.99 on these you can get 10 8x10 overlays 20 5x7 or 40 4x5 overlays, very economical way to use grids, in additon, by overlaying your screen your adding a layer of protection to scratching the glass as well. The overlays work great with any inkjet printer, very crisp and clean print if you follow the instructions that come with the package.

I've made grids with overhead transparency materials and a laser printer. I lay out the designs with a CADD program (QCAD in linux and Visual CADD in XP), which allows lines of varying thickness and with patterns of dashes and dots. I use 6x7 and 6x9 rollfilm holders, and put these framelines on as well as a very light grid pattern. I don't like thick, obtrusive lines, so mine are mostly very thin and dotted lines that don't get in the way of the image.

P.S. I see Dave didn't mention it, but he has downloadable GG patterns in Adobe Acrobat format at his web site: Dead Link Removed
