Greetings from Reunion Island

Hello, I am A 47 years old photographer. I live in Reunion Island, a french oversea territory ; a tropical island with an active volcano.
I began my hobby very young , following the path of my father. He gave me some of his cameras : Canon AE1, Leica minilux, Olympus XA,...with them I learn a sort of instinctive photograpy in the 80ies ; it wa time for some astrophotography too. Later as a student I bought a nikon F90 , wich I use in the 90ties.
In 2004 I dive in the Leica rangefinder inferno wich I never quit. And now, I am more in 6X9 or 4X5 format.

I have often read the APUG Fforum...it is time to share so here I am !

Actually I only have two connections with Reunion: the movie "La Sirène du Mississipi" and meeting in the 80s someone born and raised in Reunion.

My wife has been to Reunion twice on business. She's an atmospheric scientist with NOAA in the US. A former post-doc of hers is a Reunion native.
