Hey everyone! Just wanted to make a quick introductory post.

I'm a 24 year old photographer based out of Western Massachusetts. I've got a growing collection of cameras and shoot mostly 35mm film. I develop my own black and white with pretty mixed results, but I'm enjoying the process a lot.

Busy applying for art school for this year or the year after, so I've been pretty busy shooting lots and lots.

I thought it might be cool to list my camera collection, most of which get used pretty frequently! I've always got a roll of film in every camera.

SLRs: Nikon FM, Nikon D5000, Mamiya RB67, Polaroid SX70, Polaroid SLR680
TLR: Lubitel 166B, Yashica D
Rangefinders: Leica M3 (looking to trade this for an M4!), Canon/Canonet QL17 GIII
Point-and-shoots: Ricoh GR1s, Olympus Stylus Epic, LOMO LC-A

Ki - hello and welcome to APUG from just down the road from you in Springfield. I hope you can make it down here for the artist's reception for Tim Jones and Ken Lee at the Valley Photo Center:

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Welcome to APUG

If only Springfield were closer, I'd consider it! Unfortunately, it's an hour away or more, depending on traffic.

Thanks so much, everyone for the warm welcome!

Hey! from the other end of the Commonwealth of MA. Welcome aboard, kchoquette. Maybe you'll think about a road trip one of these days to join other NE APUGgers for a gathering. The Springfield openings can be fun (great local pizza) and there is always the summer beach party in CT (more later on that).

Welcome from a bit north.
I guess I should include a pitch for Vermont Center for Photography in Brattleboro.
There are good shows there too, but rarely pizza at the openings.

I definitely would consider going up for a meet, that would be something! I'm not really sure exactly what you all do up there, but it would definitely be interesting to check out.

I'll definitely have to check out Brattleboro next time I'm in that area, too. I'm planning on lots of trips to Vermont this year!

Welcome aboard. If you get the urge to freeze your butt off, come see me in Ottawa. Don

Never been to Canada before and I sure would love to! But we're pretty used to the cold out here in Western Massachusetts! I'm talking REAL west!

Welcome! If you ever make it to Boston, the photo lecture series at Boston University is worth checking out. I was sceptical and had to be dragged there, but my memory of hearing Kenro Izu speak is one of my favourites from my time in the US.
