Greetings from Iowa...

Hi everyone.. I signed up months ago, but followed a link I was sent about a camera in the classifieds. I haven't spent much time checking out Apug, but I like the idea. Hopefully I can fit it into my internet travels! I am a flickr addict though, since that's where I got started in the hobby.

I shoot mostly black and white 35mm and medium format film with several cameras. If I had to make a guess, I'd say I'm in it 60% for the technical side of things (equipment collecting and the whole process of taking/developing) and 40% for the creative outlet.

I'm not much of an artist, and haven't taken a very methodical approach to learning photography.. I pretty much shotgun it and try new things almost daily. I think I burned up well over 600 feet of 35mm film and about 100 rolls of 120 during 2006..

So I'm fully addicted and the collection of cameras keeps growing.

I just figured I'd toss out my 'about me' post here so nobody wonders who the heck I am if I jump in and respond to any topics at random.

Indeed. I have a digital SLR camera as well which easily adds to my raw numbers I guess. Flickr is a good place to store everything for those inconvenient moments when I drop my laptop and ruin yet another hard drive.

It's almost a sick obsession, but it helps make the winter seem shorter.
