I developed some Fomapan 100 the other day and all my fluids turned bright emerald green. Am I going to be able to reuse my developer and fixer for non-Foma film, or is this batch only going to be ok for more Foma?

Yes, usable for other films, no big deal. The color usually clears in a day.

I've had this more with Fomapan 400 but it certainly is a known phenomenon and doesn't cause problems. I'm sure there's another brand of film which turns chemicals blue.

the EFKE stuff often turned rodinal Purple..

most of the dye is from the anti halo coating on the back of the film which is supposed to wash off in processing.

120 Plus X used to give me a wonderful blue when the pre-rinse water was dumped out.
Sigh!

Yes...it was plus-x that turned my developer blue back in the day. Thanks for reminding me!

It might be possible to avoid these colourations with thorough pre-washing of film but the colouring of chemicals from Foma (and other) films doesn't seem to cause any problems. My current bottle of ID-11 is quite coloured from recent adventures with Fomapan 400, and is working perfectly well after 6 weeks and 10 films developed.
