Hi all,

I have a beat-up 4x5 Crown Graphic that I dearly love and I'm always on the lookout for spare parts. I see 3x4 Crowns/Speeds going rather cheaply because of the problems one would have acquiring film. I'm wondering how much cross-over there would be between the two camera models as far as parts go.

Obviously the the external dimensions are quite different, but what about those smaller items like infinity stops and tubular viewfinders? Would the Kalart RF be the same albeit with a different connecting-lever(?) or curved-metal-thingy-about-five-inches-long? Would it be feasible to get a 3x4 as a parts supply, or is everything pretty much a scaled down version of the 4x5 components?

Infinity stops are the same, if you get a Pacemaker series 3X4, as is the tubular (optical) view finder. You are correct about the rangefinder. There are only a couple of other small parts that interchange.
