I have bought a Graphex shutter fitted with a TTH Cooke lens (neither particularly 'fine' but suitable for my needs) but unfortunately the shutter does not have its retaining ring on the back. There are no other numbers or type on it.
Can someone tell me what size it would be.
Whatever the answer, is it a special size from long ago or one I might find in the UK?
Thanks

A lot of Graphex shutters were made by Kodak, but most are marked as such.

Got a couple of knackered shutters kicking around here. If you can measure the diameter (with a vernier or micrometer), I might be able to find one for you.

Thanks to all for your help - I'll try Grimes a bit later if necessary.
Paul_c5x4 - Thanks for your offer. I don't have such esoteric engineering equipment to measure so I will visit my brother who will. Once I get an answer I'd be pleased to make further contact.
Thanks again. Colin

If you check, you'll find that all Graphex shutters are rebadged Rapax shutters. Rapax is a Wollensak trade name.

Graflex Inc. and predecessors bought lenses from Kodak, some in Kodak-made shutters, all various flavors of Supermatic. Supermatics intended for Graflex were threaded to fit Rapax (= Graphex) and possibly Compur shutters. I have a 127/4.7 Ektar in a #1 Compur, am away from home so can't check what's engraved (or painted) on that shutter.

This is the shutter concerned

I believe that would be same as a Wollensak Rapax. You can figure out which it corresponds to at the skgrimes flange table I provided a link to in my earlier post.
