This item is free, but you have to pay the price of shipping from Canada to wherever you may live.

I've been printing with my Gralab 500 for a long time, but I decided to replace it with a new one (a 451) when I had some issues with occasional glitches, and the 1/10s not working. It was made in 1978.

Now that I have received the new one, I took apart the old one, and noticed the following issues that could be solved by someone who knows his way around PCB:

- The 1/10s button has come loose from the circuit board. You would probably have to re-solder the pins to the board.
- One wire from the speaker is disconnected, so you have to reattach it. The speaker is loose in the housing and rattles.
- There's some rust on the switch housings (exp/light, on/off, etc). Didn't seem to affect the switches.
- Some dirt around the inside of the casing that you may want to cleanup

Other than that, it's a great timer, having two North American outlets (enlarger + safelight) and one for the footswitch.

The nice thing about this timer: unlike the newer models, you can set a time in minutes+seconds+1/10s, i.e. you don't have to choose a range. So if your printing time really is 1min13s and 5/10, then you can have it.
