Can this be used on the Crown Graphic Special with the Xenar lens that has a pc sync or will the timing be off?

It will work only if the shutter has an M setting for flash bulbs. If the shutter has only X flash sync setting then a solenoid will need to be used to trip the shutter in sync with the flash bulb going off.

Solenoid would make flashbulb photography very easy whether the shutter has X, M, or no synch at all. The synch on the shutter doesn't need to be used for delay since the solenoid provides the proper delay.
