Graflex XL with Stunning 80mm F/2.8 Planar Lens $375
Graflex XL camera. Chrome Model with FAMOUS 80mm Planar 2.8 lens.
Includes Graflok back and Graflex Ground Glass Back. Also includes RH10 6x7 Graflex Roll Film back with knob wind that does feature the additional pins for improved film flatness. Also includes Sports finder for 6x7. Includes a generic 49mm screw in rubber lenshood that works perfectly on this lens. Also includes original strap and generic lens cap. Also includes the quick focus lever with instructions which makes this camera much easier to focus and focus fast.
Condition: Lens is crystal clear and very clean. There are 3 or 4 thin stray cleaning marks on the front element but these are NOT circular nor deep. Just 3 or 4 stray thin marks that have NO effect at all. In fact this lens would be minty otherwise. No haze, fungus or any other issues with this gorgeous, famous and sharp shooting lens (same as on the late Rollei TLRs). Shutter works well at EVERY speed although at 45+ years old I cant guarantee precise shutter times...but they are very consistent and sound snappy at all speeds... Aperture clean and dry.
Camera condition. Clean used camera. Rangefinder is dead accurate. Rangefinder Spot is pretty good with decent contrast. Finder lines good.
The bottom line is that this funky and clunky camera is really just a holder for this fantastic lens. I am telling you - the owner of this camera will be THRILLED with this lens. The resolution is crazy good. I shot a roll of Ektar 100 print film and the lens is sharper than the grain of the film will allow.
Attached is an 8x10 image of a barn / waterwheel I took. See the small yellow circle on the image. Then see the next picture which shows this detail at actual pixels. This lens is stupid sharp yet renders out of focus areas like smooth butter...... GREAT, GREAT LENS. This is one fine lens that I tested with film and can prove great results...
The roll of film I shot on a partly sunny day using Ektar 100 print film at infinity, mid-range and close up were all great.
