Graflex bag mags

I recently picked up a couple of bag mags for my Graflex RB. One of them is the standard sized 12-septum model I've frequently seen online and in old catalogs.

But the other one is about an inch and a half higher with a different side-clamping system. This one also has 12 septums, but there's a lot of empty space inside between the septums and the spring pressure top.

Was this larger one a 16 sheet model that is missing some septums?

i have one that looks like your bottom one
and it is for glass plates ( or mine is ).
are they glass plate septums in there or
did someone remove the glass plate ones
and put in film ones ? if they put film ones in there
yours is the 2nd ( including mine ) one that looks like
this i have seen since about 1994. no clue where you
will find glass plate septum cause i who knows if it will work
correctly with thin film septums in there. ( it might be too much slop. )

Very helpful... thanks. So the larger one is clearly a plate magazine. Currently, it's filled with film septums, which explains the extra room. I don't think I've ever seen plate septums.
