When I purchased my 4x5 Speed Graphic Special, it came with a Calumet 120 film back AND a transparent guide that one could lay on the screen to provide perimeters to aid composition while using 120 film.

Well, now I can't find it.

Have tried the forums, google and ebay with no luck. Am guessing that I'm not calling it by it's proper name. Also, I don't know if the guide was originally produced by Calumet or a different company. I've searched all the key words "graflex, calumet, 120 film guide, etc., with no luck.

Is this item familiar to anyone? If I can get it's proper name I can begin the hunt.

Thanks!

Just measure the hole in the calumet thingy and draw it, centered, on the ground glass of ur speed with a black marker pen, fine-tip.

Problem solved.

Bob I found the manual for your back online, http://www.southbristolviews.com/pics/Graphic/manual-pdf/ins_c2n.pdf and Calumet called it a 6x7 acetate framing mask but further Googling couldn't find a PDF of the mask that you could print on a piece of transparency film so you may need to resort to careful measurements, a piece of cleared and fixed film and a Sharpie pen to make your own mask or maybe some one else can come up with one, this used to be a pretty common item.

Thank you all for your responses and thank you Mike for the link. Yes, this seems to be going the way of DIY using summicron1's suggestion as searching for "6x7 acetate framing mask" is coming up empty. Thanks once again to all! Bob

good luck. I had to do the same thing when I started using 6X7 backs on a 2 by 3 crown graphic. Works great.
