graded RC paper

Since I converted my enlargers to LED, my filters don't work as well as they used to. I would like to buy graded paper and just set the filters aside, but I only use RC paper and all I can find is multigrade. I use mostly 5x7 but I don't have a problem cutting down 8x10. Anyone else using graded RC paper, and where do you buy it?

B&H has grades 2 and 3 in a variety of sizes and sheens.

I saw that and will probably buy some even though the grade 2 is special order. But what about grade 5? Did they ever make grade 5 fixed-grade paper? Or is graded paper always just grade 2 and 3? I don't know because I have always used MGIV.

My experience with LEDS and multigrade paper is that filtration basically shifts down 1 grade, so that I get an effective 00 through 4 instead of grade 0 through 5. I could really use a grade 5 paper to get my grade 5 back. As it is, if I need a true grade 5 I have to switch back to incandescent. Which depending on the enlarger, may be inconvenient or impossible.

There actually was grade 6 paper at one time.
You need to add some violet-blue to your light source.

I know, but I'm using off-the-shelf l
LED fixtures. It's not an easy thing to add more blue in a uniform way. I don't suppose preflashing with UV would get me anywhere. Maybe I should look into intensification.

That will boost contrast of a well exposed but moderately under-developed negative.

What in the world do you need grade 5 paper for? I'm a pretty boring guy, seems like I never needed anything over 3. I have fell in love with split printing, which requires VC

I keep wishing that they will bring back Azo and Ektalure, but I doubt I would use it, I love VC paper.
Dr. Strangelove used Cobalt-Thorium G maybe that would help.

You might try split grade printing. I made a light source with an LED pot light and found the lamp was about one stop less sensitive to the grace 5 filter. But I am able to dial n the contrast to the same level I achieved with an incandescent lamp.
