I have some Fortes grade 2 paper that I want to use for Lith printing.
My usual choice for Lith is Fomatone, a variable contrast paper.
Can I still get hard contrast with this grade 2 paper by varying exposure and development?

Thanks!

Of course. In lith process, contrast does not depend on paper grade but on dilution of the developer, its depletion, etc... In fact, high chance that your VC paper gives a grade 2 contrast without any filter.

True, true. With the variable grade paper I use unfiltered light which is supposed to be grade 2 equivalent.
thanks!
Just in the process of setting up my new darkroom. I’ll give it a try soon.
