Hi all
2 days ago I gave a course to children(7-10 years old) and asked them to do some protrait with my SL66. I've used GP3 shangai film and as Iknow that I shouldn't lose time developing the film ( If I don't them to jump on the table), I take some paper developer.
I used to develop my sheet film in this developer for my platinum work so I know a little about it.
I develop my film in 1+19 for 4min @68°F and continous agitation the first mintute and an agitation every 10 seconds. and I was quite surprise by the result:
- with this timing the neg print easily in G2
- the grain was quite small compare to the negI develop in rodinal
- more difused grain but not bigger
- lower iso , I may extrapolate 50
I will scan to neg to show you the grain structure but it is quite impressive for a paper developer.
