Gossen Luna Pro F disassembly

Hi! I've been using my Gossen Luna Pro F since around 1983. I've noticed throughout the years that little dust bunnies kept accumulating under the plastic dial where the shutter speeds are. I normally need to turn the ASA dial around and around until it gets under the metal, but it eventually finds its way out.

Does anyone know how to remove the clear plastic part so I can remove that giant dust bunny for good? The last time I called the company to get it removed they said it'll cost $85. I'm sure it's a lot more today.

I dont have my meter in front of me but if I recall correctly, the center with the lightening bolt unscrews and the dial comes off.

I will check tonight when I get home.

Center emblem unscrews (counterclockwise); you will need a piece/block of rubber to do that and not mar the emblem.

Thank you, Paul and Fred. I had a feeling that was the case with the screw under the lighting bolt, but I wasn't 100% sure. Wait, the entire part (silver surrounding the bolt) screws off? Oh, that's definitely "easier" than picking at the lightning bolt part to take it off. So the plastic will definitely come off once I unscrew it? I won't need to disassemble the entire unit and fool around with a nut that was actually holding the screw in place? Awesome!

So clean. It's like I have a new meter. I know it's silly, but I couldn't stop playing with it.

OK, I *know* this is an old thread, but for anyone else (like myself) looking to disassemble..

The metal disk in the centre is actually a cover. I found this accidentally by using a small drop of lighter fluid to release the screw as I couldn't get enough purchase with rubber or any other suggestions to access the dials. The fluid loosened the glue and the small emblem came off revealing a hex head to this centre piece - then easily unscrewed.
The dials then were easy to disassemble, my problem being that (ironically) the glue attaching the yellow disk to the main plastic dial had dried and as a result the yellow disk was able to spin freely.
Re-glued and reassembled, now a perfectly working meter. Well it will be when I get the battery voltage sorted or I recalibrate it.
