First-time loading HP5 Plus 120 film in this new-to-me Super Ricohflex, in a hurry. in unfamiliar hotel room... goofed it!
I saw the paper backing bars appear, all good, then some faint markings, kept cranking... more faint marks, then stopped realizing something was wrong.
I did an earlier practice with an very vintage Kodak paper backing, had no problem seeing arrows, numbers, unlike this HP5, so, I do not think the red sight window (located dead center) is a problem.

Is the HP5 backing paper known for weak frame markings?

I will rewind this film in a bag, and reload my Kodak practice paper to check my operation.

Yes, weak, sort of a fine 18% gray ink rather than black ink.

THere are two big fat arrows, then 4 dotted circles appear, followed by the 1. NOt easy to see with red windows.

The current Kodak film markings are also less visible than in the past.
A small LED flashlight is a valuable addition to your camera bag.
The switch to fainter markings arises from problems with wrapper offset.

Thanks.
A "wrapper offset" forum search gave me the background information.
