Hi,

think it's positive news:

http://www.photoscala.de/Artikel/Mittelformatscanner-MF5000-von-reflecta

New scanner from german company Reflecta for both 35mm film and 120 film (like Nikon Coolscan 9000). Scanning of up to 6x9cm is possible.

Looks like Reflecta has recognized the market gap, which Nikon has openend by discontinuing Coolscan 9000.

The scanner should be available next year.

For film photogs with hybrid workflow may be a good solution.

I will stay with my optical B&W printing in my darkroom (much better detail rendition with my APO enlarging lenses as with Imacon X5 drum scanner that I have tested).
And in color I will continue slide projection. Nothing can beat the brillance, sharpness and resolution of a projected slide.

Probably a reasonable price but too much for me. I will stick with the enlarger.
