Hi.

I'm Shunta from Fukuoka, Japan.
I love analog film cameras and trip to nowhere. I've been using Olympus Trip 35, Yashica Electro 35 GSN, Canon 110ED and Leica IIIF.
I'm so glad to know this forum and see so many beautiful pics. Good to see you.
Cheers.

Welcome Shunta! Fukuoka is one of my favourite cities in Japan - I used to live in Kumamoto so would go there often. I’m now in Kyoto though, and there are a few members here that live in Japan. Nice photos - looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Welcome to the forum!

Hello Shunta! Nice photos! I lived in Kurume-City for many years (came back to Canada in 2002). Do you live in Fukuoka City, or prefecture? I'll be there next March/April. Welcome!

Welcome to Apug !

Canon 110ED... it become quite silent here at Apug concerning type 110 photography.

Welcome to APUG Photrio!!

Welcome! I will be traveling to Fukuoka and Saga in a month or so to attend a wedding. It will be by second time to Fukuoka. I’m really looking forward to it.

Welcome! I travel to Japan about once per year, truly love it.

Your sample work is dramatic and impressive.

I'll be there in March, once again wandering the old coal mine Manda, in Omuta, and my favourite bamboo forests around Setaka.. I'll be staying at my mother-in-law's house in Kurume. I'll stock up on film in Tokyo first! Does Bic Camera in Fukuoka City still have 120 film in stock?

Welcome to Apug!

I do not have any of your cameras, but I too ride a Raleigh, though when I bought mine, you were not even born.

Welcome to Photrio, Shunta!

You’ve got some very interesting images on your wordpress site, Shunta. I hope we can see more of your work here.

Bic Camera Fukuoka don't have any stock of 120mm film...
But another store in Fukuoka-Tenjin has some 120mm film in stock(Fujifilm Velvia 50&100, Propia 100F and PRO400H). They also have some LOMO 120mm film.

I recomend to stock up your film in Tokyo, however you can "re-fuel" in Fukuoka.

Here's shop info.

Enjoy your trip to Japan!

I shoot only black and white, HP5, TMY-2, or Acros... hopefully the new Acros will be on the shelves in Tokyo. Thank you, Shunta!

It is interesting! Closest I have been is the city of Kagoshima, before taking a ferry to Yakushima Island for several days with my son (Dec 2017). He is now teaching English to 4 to 7 year old children in Chiba.

I find that Yodobashi is consistently the best place to stock up on film (no matter what city), the BIC Camera's I have been to in the last year have reduced or eliminated their film stock entirely (for example, here in Kyoto there's no more film at BIC - I didn't buy there a lot, but it was a good place to go to when Yodobashi was out). I was just in Tokyo last weekend and went to the Shinjuku branch - the film cooler is still around and looking good, but the darkroom stuff that was in another building has been seriously downsized and added to that small store. Here are a few shots:

Welcome from Adelaide - the southern part of “Down Under”.

I’ve travelled to Japan often for work, but never had the opportunity to visit Fukuoka.

Great work - look forward to seeing more posts from you soon.
