Hi all, I just did a wedding shoot yesterday and have several colour C41 rolls to develop. Last time I got C41 processing done, I had to get photos reprinted three times, so I was not very happy with their attention to detail. Can anybody recommend a quality C41 lab please? Marc, what is the one you recommended recently? Thanks.

Hi Kev,
I used to use Bonds for all my wedding photography. They used to have(don't know if they still do) a service where they would process your film and do a slightly enlarged proof roll at a reasonable price which I used to show to my clients and they could order enlargements from them.

Thanks again, all. I may give Bond a try some time soon. In the meantime, I dropped off three rolls of film to Prism today. Wow, they really are close to Flemington Rd. I almost missed them.

I'll report back when I pick up the results tomorrow. I'm interested to see how the Hasselblad portraits come out as I was using the last half hour of available sunlight on Saturday in Trentham.

I just picked up the photos from Prism and the quality is great, so thanks for the recommendations. They actually turned the films around in just over a day, and their nominal turnaround time is three days, so that is impressive.

Probably as a result of the quick turnaround, I had to get several 120 shots reprinted as the fim edge is showing through between the white border and the image.

I'll be picking up the reprints in a couple of days.

I'm certain that I will be back to Prism to get a lot of enlargements done, as I'm very impressed with the quality.

Kevin,

I think the turnaround can be faster than a day — a day for C41?
E6 (Tues, Thurs) is 1.5 hours, +60 for any proofing.

The fine art papers they have there are extraordinarily good, though delicate. The warmtone gold fibre stock by Ilford is beautiful; I'm very partial for it for the atmospheric effects of pinhole images.

Are you doing your own scanning or getting the to do it? Get file specifics from them to save being hit with extra costs.

Hi Gary. Yes, but that's a day for processing and printing, and I wasn't in a hurry.

I will scan the prints myself.

I'm pretty sure the happy couple will want a lot of enlargements.
