Were you able to test this camera despite the missing battery holder?

Also, have you verified that the databack is functional?

Camera is non-functional.
Data back was not tested.

The data back uses 2 batteries of a type that I don't have laying around...
It makes little sense for me to buy some for something I'm giving away.
