Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a "parts only" Olympus OM-PC (OM-40) body on the 'bay. It is cleaner than most of the ones listed there. Unfortunately, the shutter is not responding at all. With fresh SR44 batteries, the check light goes on, and you can hear a beep. So, electricity is flowing into part of the circuitry, and the battery compartment is clean. In the finder, the shutter speed lights go on, but the shutter just never clicks. The mirror is down, so it is not jammed or anything, just not responsive. I even tried a cable release, but still the shutter would not work. This body does not have a manual mode at any speed.

If any of you want a parts body or are adept at fixing these Olympus camera, please send me a message. Free, but a few $$ for shipping in USA would be welcome.

Cheers!

Update 9/28/21: the OM-PC has gone to a new home.

Not 100% sure, but think the prism from this camera can be a donor for a de-slivered OM 1.

And I have such a de silvered OM 1. I’ll need that prism!
