That machine must have processed all my Kodachrome back in the 90's. The two labs I used here in Ann Arbor, Michigan, back then, used to send Kodachrome to the BWC Lab in Miami mentioned in the auction. BWC did a good job with that machine. Interesting. Not interesting enough to purchase, though.

The 220V part is easy.
The big question is Do you have the affluence to create the effluence?

A bigger question is can you get the chemistry, and in reality there's not enough film out there for two K14 lines.

One thing you have to give credit to Kodak for is a well handled withdrawal of Kodachrome from the market place, by gradual phasing out in various markets followed by closure of Kodak processing facilities, it's very noticeable that all the other independent labs close quite a while ago.

To be fair to Kodak they tried, first expanding the Kodachrome range and then also introducing 120 as well and tried very hard to greatly improve the turnaround problem, which was a huge issue outside the US.

It can't do 120. It can do 35mm. But with no film to process, who wants it? If you can coat film in your barn, then maybe.

As a side issue: can 35mm Kodachrome be processed in any other way...even cross-processed into b+w without using the 14 step Kodachrome process? Would it then be a positive or a negative?

If you can remove the remjet backing, you can process it as a B&W negative.

Perhaps you could capture Ron and detain him in the barn, exchanging food for developed kodachromes...

I already suggested that he stay at my house, and note that stay sounds more pleasant than detain. He didnt seem to like that idea, even the way i posed it.

On another note, i'm still the high bidder.
