I found an interesting gold chloride toner formula that includes hypo:

Part A:
1g gold chloride
250 mL water

Part B:
20g hypo
10g thocarbamide (thiourea?l

Mix A and B in equal parts for use.

Is anyone familiar with this formula?
My thinking is that the hypo would render the toner useless...but here is the formula, and my knowledge is limited.
I have used 231 gold toner to redden sepia toned prints. After sepia toning a print I use a brush to locally tone portions
of the image. 231 takes forever.....I need a gold toner that can yield the same results more quickly, but the price
of gold chloride is prohibitive when it comes to experimenting.

Any thoughts?
