They’re quite affordable. Buy a box of quart size (8x2x5-11/16 inches) and a box of gallon size (bigger).

US quart just work for 4x5, though they will not always stay sealed. I doubt that you will get a Grafmatic in anything that small with a chance of sealing it. Probably a US gallon for that. 8x10 holders need something like a 2.5 US gallon Jumbo bag.
Ziplocs can be a problem in dry conditions because of static, but they are better than nothing. Some people like anti-static bags for this job.
My unused holders go in bags with the slide grips up. When fully used, they go in the bags slide grips down. While I usually separate the used holders, this makes it easier to keep track of exposed film 'in the heat of the moment'.

Keep it simple and use gallon size heavy duty FREEZER BAGS.
These will also take 5"x7" holders but the 'extra' space and build quality are both a buffer against misadventure as well as the abuse of carrying, reuse, and too tight a fit.
Do not over fill the bag so it is being stretched across or at the corners of the holders.
Just remove the air by only 'zipping' the fastener about 90% up, fold the excess bag snuggly, removing most of the remaining air and finish closing it up.
Personally, I do not tape the folded bags and I recommend you don't either, using paper slips inside to note which films the bag is carrying.
