I have already received my Christmas present, my Dream Lens in mint condition and ZEBRA Dryplates

What Equipment do you wish for this Christmas?

Dogmar is okay but Dagor would have made the modern lenses envy for its contrast.

Me wishing a lot of money for portrait lenses and nice shoes.

I've got a few Dagors and one Dogmar (its either 16.5cm or 16.8cm IIRC.) I have a 12in (305mm) Dagor, but I'd prefer @Rick A 's 14in/355mm Dagor--I like my lenses a little longer than normal, so the 12in mostly get used on 5x7. I actually really like the Dogmar--be careful of flare--but it can be very sharp.

But if could ask for a lens for a xmas present, it would probably be a WA Dagor. I was looking at them a while back (3-4 years ago) and they were selling for less than same FL Angulon. Then a year or two ago the prices suddently jumped. Thing is, I have no idea about real coverage and lens sharpness for the WA variant, and I don't want to spend $500-1000 to find out. $100-200, ok, but that my personal limit. I have a kit with all small and lightweight parts (Toho camera, G-Claron 150, Kodak 203) and my wide in the kit is currently a WA Ektar 100, but I wouldn't mind finding something a bit wider like a 90, but at least for now I'm trying not to throw a Super-Angulon or Nikkor SW in the kit in order to keep size and weight (the Nikkor 90/8 isn't terribly large or heavy, but every cubic centimeter counts in a compact kit.)

i am happy its a goerz in mint condition, nobody worked on this lens and its still fully functional, i clenaed every element and now its like new. i always wanted to have one like new, its small and sharp lens with a little bit lower contrast, for some images perfect.

this winter i am going to use it exclusively.

Very nice! I get fine contrast with my Dogmar and black and white film, and it's very sharp. But it's good to be careful with uncoated lenses like this.

What a great lens! Christmas is over now, but I want some comfortable shoes to walk in. After all, you can't shoot with LF in sandals.
